John Pigg - Owner / Founder

John has been in the retail automotive business for 20 years. He had always hated stereotypical car dealers that used high-pressure sales tactics, played games, and ripped off customers. He refused to buy from dealerships and always bought his vehicles from individual owners. In 2001, while still on active duty in the Air Force, he started Pigg Enterprises as an experiment to see if a “no pressure” dealership that was operated with honesty and integrity would be successful. It was!

John retired from the Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant in 2004 and began pouring himself full-time into the operation at Pigg Enterprises. With the help of his sons, he grew the operation from a 2-vehicle experiment into a dealership that carries over 120 vehicles. Pigg Enterprises has become one of the most successful pre-owned dealerships in the state of Alabama by operating the same way for 20 years—by delivering a vehicle-shopping experience free of stress and hassle, with fair and honest pricing, and a pleasant buying experience that leaves customers squealing!

John continually strives to make the “Pigg Enterprises Experience” as stress-free and simple as possible for customers. Hearing the negative experiences people were having with trying to sell their own vehicles, or with getting unfair trade offers elsewhere, John knew there was a way to solve this and Pigg Buys is it! John specializes in helping folks in the North Alabama & Tennessee areas. But, don’t worry! If you’re not in that area, he will gladly help you wherever you are!

Robert Pigg - General Manager

Robert has been in the retail automotive business for 20 years. As both a General Manager and inventory purchasing specialist, he has a tremendous amount of experience and a deep understanding as to a vehicle’s worth whether it’s offering a trade value for a retail sale or purchasing directly. He understands the entire vehicle-buying process and its importance to the consumer--this is why he ensures his team provides an experience that is unmatched by any other. Robert is a 2006 graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelor of Science in Relations with a minor in Marketing. He proudly served our country in the Alabama Air National Guard from 2001 to 2007 and deployed during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Robert and his wife Jessica share a beautiful daughter and 2 shelties (4-legged children).

For years Robert dreamed of offering the an easy, stress-free & safe alternative to selling their personal vehicles. When he sees a need, he seeks out to create and offer a solution. He is proud to continue serving the in ALL of their automotive needs, whether they wish to purchase or sell!

Jessica's roots are deeply planted in the Prattville community, through her involvement in multiple local businesses and through her strong family connections in the area. Jessica is a 2007 graduate of Auburn University Montgomery with a B.S. Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. She earned her Masters of Business Administration from Troy University. After over ten years specializing in marketing, business development, and relations in the financial industry, Jessica took a leap of faith and started her own business, Pigg Media and Marketing. Since then, she has focused her professional endeavors on growing both family businesses, Pigg Enterprises and Pigg Buys, while ensuring our customers have the best overall experience, just as they expect and deserve. She is involved in various charitable efforts and community causes, but her greatest passion is her family!

Jessica has been married to her husband, Robert, for over 15 years. They share one beautiful and spunky daughter (who is the real boss lady!) and two sheltie daughters, Belle and Ella.

Jerrod Pigg - Buying Manager

JJerrod is a 2018 graduate of Auburn University at Montgomery with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing, and a 2010 graduate of Killingly High School in Killingly, Connecticut. He was born in Panama City, Florida and raised in northeastern Connecticut. Jerrod has been in the car business since he was 18 years old and has excelled in customer relations, sales, finance, and inventory management. Jerrod now serves as the General Manager of Pigg Enterprises and is the driving force behind the growth and direction of the Pigg Buys team. His years in the retail automotive industry have shown him how stressful it can be for people to sell their vehicle on their own, and he is passionate about providing a simpler and more enjoyable solution through Pigg Buys. He continues to work closely with customers who have specific vehicle requests and takes pride in helping them get into the right fit. Jerrod and his girlfriend Kristen have a daughter named Emma Joe and a son named Owen. Their family also includes a Great Dane named Moose. In his free time, Jerrod enjoys college football, hunting, and fishing. Whether he is leading the team at Pigg Enterprises or supporting the Pigg Buys process, Jerrod brings energy, experience, and a genuine desire to help people enjoy a better automotive experience.

Leslie Simmons is a 1998 graduate of Stanhope Elmore and a 2004 graduate of Faulkner University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Originally from Millbrook, she now lives in Prattville with her husband, Ty, and their two children, Nathan and Jamie. Leslie plays a vital support role with Pigg Buys, assisting with titles, paperwork, bookkeeping, and the many administrative details that keep our buying process running smoothly. She’s the definition of a team player—always willing to jump in, always focused on the big picture, and always making sure our buyers and customers have what they need for a seamless experience. Leslie was our first hire outside the family, and we’ve proudly adopted her and her family as part of our own. Outside of work, Leslie has developed a passion for sourdough bread making. She began experimenting toward the end of 2023 and now enjoys creating how-to videos on social media. As she likes to say, “I look forward to blessing you and your family with sourdough!”

Brian Gray - Buyer / Finance Assistant

Brian grew up in Millbrook, graduating from Stanhope Elmore in 1996. He attended Faulkner University, earning a BS in Business Administration in 2000, followed by his MBA with a finance emphasis from Auburn University at Montgomery in 2003. He brings years of customer service and sales experience from his time with Sherwin-Williams. Brian now serves as the Sales Manager at Pigg Enterprises, leading the team and helping customers enjoy a smooth, hassle-free buying experience. He’s also proud to continue supporting Pigg Buys in a secondary role whenever needed. Outside of work, Brian enjoys spending time in the yard, gardening, and helping others.

Joey Mest - Buyer (Alabama)

Joey Mest was born in Prattville and now lives in Millbrook, Alabama. A graduate of Chapman Christian Academy, Joey has built a well-rounded career across service, supervision, sales, and procurement. He began his work life as a service technician with AirNow, inspecting and repairing HVAC systems while helping customers understand their options. From there, he moved into a leadership role at Jet Polymer Recycling, supervising teams, managing dock operations, and keeping equipment running smoothly. Joey continued to grow his experience in both sales and purchasing through his work with Straightway Plastics, where he supported customer needs and handled procurement responsibilities. These combined roles prepared him for his current position with Pigg Buys, where he serves as a Buyer for Alabama, Georgia, and North Florida. Joey is dedicated to helping sellers enjoy a simple, safe, and stress-free process.

Richard Miller raised in Muscle Shoals Alabama and graduated from Muscle Shoals High School in 1998, from there graduated from the University of Alabama in 2002 with a degree in Healthcare Management. Married to Rebekah Pigg Miller in 2005 and has 3 kids (Jack, Avery and Kendall) Has worked in healthcare operations in a few different capacities for almost 16 years. Fills his time up with carting kids to Gymnastics, Baseball and now Football. When not carting kids, you will probably find him either in the gym, by the lake or in the woods. Richard assists with facilitating vehicle purchases in the state of Texas and Alabama.

Dean Guerra - Buyer (Houston, TX)

Dr. Dean Guerra lives in Houston, Texas with his wife, Jennifer, and his two sons, Daxton and Troy. Dean and Jennifer were married in June 2025 and enjoy building their life together in the Houston area. Along with proudly working for Pigg Buys in Houston, Dean is a lifelong educator. He has spent many years in education, having served as both a junior high and high school teacher, and he currently serves as an Assistant Principal at Schultz Junior High. He graduated from Wake Forest University in North Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in Theatre and Women’s and Gender Studies in 2013, earned his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Policymaking from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2016, and completed his Doctorate of Education in Transformational Leadership and Professional Inquiry from Concordia University in 2020.

In 2017, Dr. Guerra was voted Teacher of the Year by his colleagues at Waller High School and selected as Waller ISD’s Secondary Teacher of the Year for the district. As a lifelong educator and community leader, he strives to serve every customer with honesty and integrity. Dean focuses on helping customers across the Houston area, where he has been a lifelong resident, and he looks forward to making the process of selling your car the easiest and most equitable experience possible.

Mellvile "Teddy" Reid was born in Douglasville, GA. He was a graduate of Chapel Hill High School and afterwards attended Georgia State University. In his time at GSU he enjoyed the classroom and learning new things as he has done in his 33 years of life. Teddy is the newest member of PiggBuys, is also new to the car industry and is striving to reach out to sellers to make the process of selling their vehicle easier, safer, and faster. Teddy is highly skilled with coordinating your selling process to make sure you are comfortable and up to speed on every detail. In his spare time, he enjoys working out and watching movies. His favorite movie is Avengers: Infinity War.

Kyle Davis - Buyer / IT Manager

Kyle Davis grew up in Prattville and graduated from Prattville High School in 2001. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Business in Operations Management from Auburn University in 2007. After spending 15 years in the steel industry, Kyle brought his operations, problem-solving, and leadership experience into the automotive world, where he now plays a key role across both Pigg Enterprises and Pigg Buys. Kyle oversees all IT for Pigg Enterprises and leads major initiatives in marketing, social media, CRM automation, and customer engagement. He also supports Pigg Buys by helping streamline the selling process, improving follow-up systems, and ensuring a smooth experience for customers across every step. His attention to detail, creative strategy, and commitment to efficiency make him an essential part of the team. Kyle proudly served in the Alabama Air National Guard from 2001 to 2007, including deployment during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He and his wife have two daughters and currently live in Hoover, Alabama.
